Here's the list of ingredients to make one batch of cookies-- ¾ cup butter, 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup white sugar, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon vanilla extract, 2 cups flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon salt, 1½ cup chocolate chips.

First, combine the sugar and butter in a mixer and give it a whirl.

Then add the egg and vanilla extract.

After it mixes, it should look somewhat soft and creamy.

Then measure out the flour and baking soda.

Sift the flour and baking soda into the soft cookie dough. Then put it back into the mixer until it comes out with a smooth cookie dough. Sometimes we freeze the dough for a few minutes so that it's firmer and easier to work with.

We like using a small cookie scoop to make the perfect sized cookies.

The cookies flatten out while baking, so it's important to put enough space in between each cookie on the baking sheet.

Bake the cookies at 325° for twelve minutes if you plan to eat it right away and nine minutes if it's for the next day.

Then let it cool (or eat it warm) and enjoy! ♥
