We've made pizza before, but it was definitely harder than we remembered. The first attempt ended with the dough stuck to the pizza peel (panic in the kitchen), but the second attempt ended up much better! Hopefully we'll get the hang of it and make pizza more often.

pepperoni and artichoke pizza; plain pizza dough, pepperoni, marinated artichoke hearts, arugula, tomato basil pasta sauce, sharp cheddar, mozzarella, flour, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, pepper.

First, we preheated the pizza stone in the oven at at 475°. We had plain pizza dough sitting out at room temperature and dusted it with flour.

Then we gathered the ingredients we would need-- arugula, seasoning, marinated artichoke hearts, cheese, and pasta sauce.

We worked quickly to stretch out the dough by hand, flatten it out on a pizza peel with flour, and get all the ingredients on it.

Here's what it looked like after baking for about ten minutes in the oven.

Lastly, we added arugula for the finished look! The pizza had a nice bite to it, and it was hot and crispy.
